Pure copper and Silver wire will change colors/darken (oxidize) over time. There isn’t really a way to prevent it, but you can slow the process down some if treated properly and you can clean it to keep it looking beautiful.

Some things you can do for your jewelry:

1. Use a polishing cloth to keep it looking bright and shiny

2. Wire jewelry is fragile so be sure to treat it with care, so the wires don’t bend/break/etc. and store in a dry, safe place.

3. Try to not wear while swimming, bathing, sleeping, doing sports, etc.

4. If it gets wet, dry it off thoroughly.

5. To slow oxidation, keep it stored somewhere dry and safe, preferably away from sunlight and humidity.
